1. “INTERIM PASTOR: HOW IT WORKS?” Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., Dr. Coker will have a special class about the “specifics” of an INTERIM PASTOR RELATIONSHIP, especially for First Church, Whiteville. Some of the questions to be addressed are (1) Why does FPC need an interim pastor? (2) What will an interim pastor do at FPC? (3) Who is on the “Interim Pastor Search Committee?” (4) How long will the interim pastor remain at FPC? Among other matters, we will also discuss the process of calling the next “installed pastor” for FPC? Bring your questions! The class will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 10:00 A.M.
2. “WORDS BEFORE THE WORD” is a Sunday School class Dr. Coker will begin on July 19, 2026. What is the topic? Each Sunday’s sermon is drawn from a passage of Scripture. The class will take you through the Bible verses of the day, covering what they say, what they mean, and how these verses will strengthen your faith. There will be plenty of time to ask your questions about the sermon of the day! The class will meet on Sundays at 10:00 A.M., in the Conference Room.
