We have about 10 children left on our angel tree.  Please pick a child’s tag and write your name beside the tag number on the clipboard located beside the tree.

Please make sure that your tag is attached to your gift. If you buy multiple gifts, please make sure that your gifts are tied together or have the tag ID number on them so we can make sure they go to the right child.

All gifts are due no later than Dec. 14th to the church.  You may leave in the sanctuary or bring to the church office.

Oratorio Concert

The Southeastern Oratorio Society will present its Christmas concert in our sanctuary at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 12.  The free program, conducted by Dr. Timothy Koch, will include two Magnificats, one by Francesco Durante (usually attributed to Giovanni Battista Pergolesi) and the other by John Rutter.  Both pieces are based on the passage from the gospel of Luke in which Mary, mother of Jesus, praises God for His goodness to her and to the world.  The Durante piece, written in the 18th century, will be sung in Latin and the work by Rutter, a 20th century composer, in English. The Oratorio singers will be accompanied by members of the Long Bay Symphony from the Myrtle Beach area.

First Presbyterian Oratorio singers Jenny Meekins, Judy Nelson, Paul Pope, Annette Powell and Steve Smith especially hope you’ll attend the concert and bring lots of friends to hear this beautiful music.
