Online Donations, Food Needed
If you would like to contribute to help people in the area affected by Hurricane Florence, please visit www.fpcwhiteville.org/giving for secure and easy online giving through the Presbyterian Foundation.
If you would like to give online, please set up a profile, indicate the amount you would like to give, and select “Pass Through/Designated Giving”.
You will be able to write a note (memo) on the next page for
“Hurricane Florence”.

Sunday after the hurricane
First Presbyterian Church will have Worship on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 11:00 am. This will be a casual dress, “come-as-you-are” service.
There will be no Sunday School.
The Church Office will be closed at 1:30 pm today, September 12, and will remain closed until further notice. You may contact FPC via Facebook Messenger or pastorjoe@fpcwhiteville.org or karen@fpcwhiteville.org if needed. Office phone messages will not be returned until we reopen. There will be no newsletter this week.
There will be a prayer service beginning at 6:00 pm tonight, Wednesday September 12, 2018. This will be an informal time to pray together for our community and those who may be affected by hurricane Florence. This should be about a 30 minute service.

In this 12-session video Bible study, some of today’s best-loved authors and speakers look at the spiritual lessons learned from twelve women in the Bible and what they mean for you today. This fresh look at these women in the Bible will help you discover new insights into God’s character, persevere through difficult times, and find joy in the hope that Jesus has provided to you. Classes will meet on Tuesdays from 9:30 – 11:00 am, starting September 11th. Books, which cost $8, must be ordered in advance (ASAP) by contacting Janet McPherson at 642-9714. |

You might know someone who needs some extra love – maybe someone who is new at school, take your doll on a pretend mission trip, give it to someone that you don’t know…
