For many people, a nativity scene is a favorite during the Advent/Christmas season. I love nativity scenes and actually keep one out in my office all year long. But we should see these nativity scenes as more than decorations, but also as a way to remember the Christmas story as well as learn something about God’s love.
A very prominent tradition we see during the Advent season is the poinsettia plant. With its deep read leaves and yellow bloom it is difficult to miss. Why is this plant a part of our Advent season?
